how we got started...
Pat Peyer got into real estate in 2004 in Atlanta because he was passionate about helping people find a home and invest in real estate. As he drove around the city with clients, he got to know all of the neighborhoods really well - and along the way, couldn't help but notice how many people were experiencing homelessness.
And, it was heart-wrenching.
Pat started volunteering regularly to help feed these people in our community.
His family started making sandwiches and taking them to people living under the bridges. Then, he started to get others involved.
But, Pat wanted to do MORE…
So he decided to merge his two passions -- real estate AND helping the community.
Pat shifted his business model in a few ways:
- Grew a team of people who share the same passion for doing good.
- Committed to prepare and serve meals EVERY MONTH to 200-350 people who are experiencing homelessness (and, by the way… we do this in partnership with an amazing organization called SafeHouse Outreach)
- Listen to the needs of the community to figure out WHAT they need -- beyond meals. (For example…the last few years, we’ve hosted coat and blanket drives, and assembled personal hygiene kits thanks to the generosity of our clients and friends.)
The bottom line is, when you work with the Peyer Team, you are helping to DO GOOD in OUR community.

We know this word gets thrown around a lot, but we truly are passionate about helping people. Sure, we want to help you reach your real estate goals, but we know it goes deeper than that.

When you buy or sell with The Peyer Team, you help us feed 50 people in our community who are currently experiencing homelessness. 'Happy Closing Day' for you means a hot meal for someone else. Actually, 50 hot meals.
Each month The Peyer Team, and our community partners, prepare and serve delicious home-cooked meals to our community, and this all happens with your help!
